At the initiative of Retriever Club of Zagreb and the recommendation of the HKS, which is in its regular annual meeting stressed the need to establish breed clubs on the national level, 31.may 2008. was held initial Assembly Croatian retriever club to which were invited all interested breeders, owners and lovers of the breed retriever.

Under the leadership of the Initiative Committee comprised of: Tomo Pavić, Đurđica Dujmović and Damir Vučić a majority decision, a decision was taken on the need for the establishment Croatian retriever club, who through their work covered all counties in Croatia.

08. september 2008. held the Constitutional Assembly adopted the Statute of the club, selected administrative and professional bodies and Retriever Club Croatia is registered as an official, racial club to breed retriever, at the national level.

Croatian retriever club has the following objectives:

   - WILL breeder, owner and dog fancier breed Retriever,
     CONDUCT OF ACTIVITIES to raise their expertise,
     CONSCIOUSNESS and discipline in the cultivation and different.
   - Influence upon the Club's Activities to quality
     To improve their Breed Retriever
   - Strive ENNOBLE MAN'S RELATIONS animals and nature
     REALLY.

CROATIAN RETRIEVER CLUB achieves its goals by doing the following activities:

   - EXPERT SELECTION BREEDING OF Retrievers
   - Organization of special Retriever EXHIBITIONS TO WHICH JUDGING TOP
      Those familiar BREED renowned CYNOLOGICAL judges from England.
   - Keeping EXAM congenital properties for RetrieverS
   - KEEPING WORKING EXAM FOR Retriever S
   - KEEPING PROFESSIONAL CYNOLOGICAL Lectures.
